Personal Document Scannertm (PDS) The Tamarack Personal Document Scanner (PDS) converts a PC, laser printer and fax/modem into a complete, image processing and multifunction management workstation. Plain paper faxing is available in conjunction with a fax/modem and laser printer. To increase productivity, documents can be copied directly from your desk. With Optical Character Recognition (OCR) documents can be converted, scanned or faxed into a text file, then edited in a word processor or spread sheet. Tamarack offers the time-saving solutions for handling information at an affordable price.

The 3.5" by 12" footprint of the Tamarack PDS takes up minimal space; in fact, the unit weighs less than 2.5 pounds. A 10-page automatic document feeder scans up to six pages a minute for virtually hands-free operation at an optical resolution of 300dpi. Scanned documents can be saved in a variety of file formats. The Personal Document Scanner also includes a TWAIN driver that makes it easy to use scanned images for a variety of applications.

With no boards to install, the scanner connects directly to your computer's Enhanced Capability Port (ECP) or Standard Parallel Port (SPP). The pass-through adapter provides a direct connection to the printer. Tamarack's Document Image Manager program provides easy, menu driven, one-button operation for all your fax, scanning and copy requirements.
