Caller ID service is available from most local telephone companies. With a product equipped for Caller ID, the service allows consumers to see the name and/or number of the calling party before answering their call.

Caller ID is a service provided by your local telephone company. You must subscribe to the Caller ID service through the local telephone company to have this feature on your Casio PhoneMate telephone or answering machine work properly.

There are 2 different types of Caller ID service currently available:

• Type I (regular) Caller ID is Caller ID information for 1 incoming call. (This information may include name, date, and telephone number).
• Type II Caller ID & Call Waiting provides Caller ID information on the 1st incoming call and it will also provide Caller ID information on any calls that come through Call Waiting service. HOWEVER, type II is NOT automatic just because you currently buy both services separately. You MUST buy a special type II Caller ID package from your local telephone company.

Not all local telephone companies offer both types of Caller ID package. Please call your local telephone company to find out what they offer.
