CASIO PHONEMATE’S MODELS 2970 AND 2870 ADD NEW TWIST TO ANSWERING MACHINE/CORDLESS PHONE CATEGORY

CASIO PHONEMATE has rewritten the laws of mathematics with its newest answering machine/cordless phone combo. One answering machine plus one cordless phone equals four phone options in the Model 2970, now featuring 25 channels for clear reception in densely populated areas.

In addition to an answering device, the base of the 2970 features a corded feature phone (one) and speakerphone (two), while the “satellite” cordless handset (three) has a speakerphone capability as well (four).

The 2970 also includes a speakerphone intercom function, allowing the base unit and cordless handset users to page each other and talk via hands-free intercom.

CASIO PHONEMATE is simultaneously introducing the Model 2870 answering machine/cordless telephone/speakerphone combo, which joins the 2970 in bringing the latest digital technology to new and experienced users.

CASIO PHONEMATE’s trademarked Solid State Message Storage records and plays the answering machine’s outgoing message through a unique, tapeless, solid state circuit that provides audio quality superior to conventional digital systems.

The cordless telephone handsets in the 2870 and 2970 combine convenience with state-of-the-art technology. They can be kept anywhere within normal communication range -- additional phone jacks are not required. Free-standing chargers ensure continually charged handset batteries, while a power-saver switch allows the ringer to be switched off to preserve battery power.

The 25-channel cordless phones in both models provide reception superior to conventional cordless units through CASIO PHONEMATE’s exclusive Ultra CleaR Noise Reduction Circuitry. And CASIO PHONEMATE’s trademarked Optimum Channel Memory automatically selects and recalls the clearest available channel to quickly provide a dial tone.

For added convenience, the cordless handsets feature 10-number programmable autodial and can redial the last number called. The 2970 also allows users to screen calls and retrieve messages via the cordless handset.

The well-equipped base units of the 2870 and 2970 use a synthesized voice to provide step-by-step instructions during remote message operation and to announce the time and day messages were received.

Messages are stored by both units on a single microcassette and can be played, replayed, saved or erased from most touchtone phones, including car phones. The tollsaver feature lets users avoid unnecessary charges when calling to retrieve messages remotely.

The auto extension disconnect feature in the 2870 and 2970 automatically stops the answering machine from recording when a call is answered from any phone in the home, while power failure protection saves outgoing and incoming messages for up to two months without a battery.

The Models 2870 and 2970 are available at consumer electronics and department stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $229.95 and $259.95, respectively.
