  Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Bob L. Evans (www.bobevans.net), the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Internet Inventions is a true Silicon Valley entrepreneur, raconteur and original. Bob has combined his technical ingenuity, entrepreneurial ability and teambuilding skills to found successful companies time and again over the past 20 years.

A small sample of companies he has founded includes:

  • ISP Channel (www.ispchannel.com), the U.S's third largest cable broadband system integrator, which passes through 3 million homes, currently employs over 250 people in Mountain View and San Francisco, and provided initial investors with returns well in excess of 2,000 percent.
  • Autotalk, Inc., founded around Bob's Autotalk Patent Interest . In it's hayday the Autotalk product had widespread retail distribution at Good Guys, Circuit City and Airline SkyMall Magazines.
  • International Teletext Communications, Inc. Using data imbedding transmission and receiving devices which he had invented, Bob created a network of data content transmissions on 3 satellite video uplink feeds and 30+ TV stations nationwide over a period of 6 years.

Bob's formidable networking and multitasking abilities are in evidence in the many companies with which he is simultaneously involved. Significantly, Bob's reach extends beyond Silicon Valley to New York's Silicon Alley, the Seattle area and Herzlia, the center of Israel's high-tech sector. Occasionally, sovereign countries pay heed to Bob's advice: he single-handedly wired the nation of Malawi (www.malawi.net) to the Internet. Although he advises many companies informally, he is currently a principal in the following companies:

  • DataRain, Inc. (www.datarain.net), where he is Founder and Chief Technical Officer
  • DomainWorld, Inc. (www.domainworld.com), where he is Chief Executive Officer
  • NetAttach, Inc. (www.netattach.com), where he is a Member of the Board and Chief Technical Officer
  • FirstPerson.com, Inc. (www.firstperson.com, formerly personal411.com), where he is on the Board of Advisors
  • NetMachines, Inc. (www.netmachines.net), where he is Chief Technical Officer
  • WorldNetDaily Inc.(www.worldnetdaily.com), where he is Chief Technical Officer
Bob's ability to explain complicated technologies and his inimitable style can be found every Friday at his "Dr. Internet" column on WorldNetDaily (www.worldnetdaily.com).

Charles Bright patented this acoustic telegraph receiver in 1855. Before his double bell system, operators had to stare at a needle which deflected to the right or left. The called out the words to an assistant as they were spelled out.

Using the acoustic telegraph, a single operator could listen to the tones while writing the letters on a notepad.
