Forgive the diatribe

"Networking," coming up after a short breather, and what no one was sure of re it as I saw it. (I'm not talking just about breakdowns of computers.) Oh gag!.......the phone!

It's late again.

My friends keep calling me about God.

I don't think I have any opinions about Him. We haven't been buddy-buddy for a long time. Mama is sure that once - years ago - I was "saved." I can't remember that. And you want me to write a book on my exciting life? Does all this sound "exciting?"

If I've disappointed you, Mr. Ames, you can be sure that I've disappointed myself.

I was going to list for you a few of my qualifications for the Senate seat that was vacated - years ago. Funny, I now have not one qualification I do truly believe. There are not any! But if you do still want me to write a kind of sad commentary, you may want to know, in any MS, what I did over the years on various committees and in conferences. [She's calming down a little.] If you want some correct info about my past work before I was appointed, Molly, my good friend and personal secretary, can fill you in on law school and counsels and councils, committees and commissions, all the feeble joint efforts I'd helped along, together with many other sweaty souls, all coming ahead of the big case re some strange housing before the Supreme Court. That was when I first represented California and got some attention nationally (although I think a big drum was being beaten by the press). After all, most people like to watch even "polite" violence. What I don't understand is why my Party suddenly shows no "interest" in anyone overseas, and I mean Africa and Asia and Russia and on east. Mysterious repressions? [And, "mysteriously," there is never any news from Canada, nor even from South and Central America.] War veterans have been silenced. Free thought and free speech don't "count" anymore. And frauds? scams? heresies? assassinations? ["Marriage" is on the cusp.] How do all those perpetrators manage not to count? How are there so many people who are so divided by their opposite positions - on issues - that they are acting uglier than ever? [At least the littering tourists are gone.] There is equality and there is no equality, and there is more infertility in men in some places.
